Patrick Wright

Patrick grew up around aviation. His father use to fly and took Patrick to airshows during the summer months. In 1999, at the age of 19, Patrick took his first flight lesson at the Bolivar airport and later earned his airplane Private Pilot Certificate. In 2005, he earned his helicopter add-on rating, 2007 instrument airplane rating, 2008 Commercial Pilot Certificate and 2009 multi-engine add-on.

Patrick drove a semi truck full-time for 12 years, logging 1.8 million miles and 47 states. Patrick took a break from driving in 2005, attended the National Police Institute at Central Missouri University, earning his Law Enforcement Certification and later being a road deputy for a local Sheriffs Department. He flew skydivers for 5 years on weekends to build his flight time needed to start flying full-time.

In 2013, Patrick got his first break flying Second-In-Command of a Jetstream 31 and Pilot-In-Command of a Pilatus PC-12 in Joplin. In December of 2015, Patrick joined OZAir’s professional flight department where he earned his Airline Transport Pilot certificate (academic equivalent of a PhD/Doctorate) and his Cessna Citation 500 series type rating, flying the Citation Encore and Citation V. As of December 2016 he has logged over 2500 hrs and is proficient in a variety of aircraft. When Patrick is not flying, he enjoys doing anything and spending time with his b-e-a-utiful wife (whom he met while flying skydivers) and handsome son.
